Our Coaching Philosophies
At NEB NH, our coaching is what sets us apart.
Coaches Who Care
No parent coaches, period. Every coach in the program reports directly back to our full-time staff, so we stay aligned on each player's areas for improvement and how we're addressing them.
Organizational Consistency
Every NEB coach follows the same developmental handbook, so players get a consistent philosophy, language, and approach across every team and every age group.
Long-Term Development
A long-term development focus is often lost with travel programs. We focus on developing players aged 17-18 for college recruitment rather than short-term competitive metrics at younger ages.
Three Age-Based Developmental Tiers
Our program is structured around three distinct developmental phases, each with its own philosophy and goals. Click to learn more.
Training Focus Areas
Every discipline in our program is led by a director with elite-level playing or coaching experience.
Pitching
Directed by a Former Pro Pitcher
Alex Powers pitched professionally for ten years. Mechanics, arm care, and individualized development plans for every arm in the program.
Hitting
Directed by an MLB Hitting Coordinator
Mike Montville is an upper-level hitting coordinator for the Baltimore Orioles. Bat control, pitch recognition, and the same principles taught to professional athletes.
Catching
Directed by a Former College Catcher & Coach
Camden MacDonald played and coached at the college level. Receiving, blocking, throwing, and game management taught from the catcher's perspective.
Fielding
Directed by a Former College Coach
Kyle Bouchard brings five years of college coaching to position-specific fielding systems, footwork, and defensive play.
What Our Families Say
"NEB-NH was very supportive through the whole recruiting process. My whole approach to the game has changed since joining. I care more, I work harder, and my swing is nothing like it was when I first started at Powerhouse and at NEB."
"We had always heard how committed the Powerhouse program was. Brendan and Alex make it competitive, but also fun. These guys are amazing. You can see how the athletes connect, listen, and look up to them. We've been so impressed over the years with their ability to connect!"
"It's a competitive, supportive and fun training facility. My son's attitude has changed toward the sport of baseball overall and he now truly feels part of this amazing community. Best sports experience ever."
