How It Works

Practice, Game and Tournament Schedule

Players will receive a schedule of tournaments and showcases in the winter with the expectation of these tournaments and games occurring in the spring-season. Games & Tournaments are primarily played on the weekends, but at the older ages games will be played during the week.

U10 - U12 teams - Participate in the Perfect Game League with minimum Two additional tournaments. This season will run from April – Early June. Weather Depending, our goal is to play 20 – 25 game seasons.

U13 & U14 teams - Participate in the Perfect Game League with minimum two additional tournaments. This season will run from April – Early/Mid July. Weather Depending, Our goal is to play 30 – 35 Game Seasons.

U15 & older teams - Primarily participate in roughly 6 weekend tournaments with additional midweek and weekend exhibition games. Our Teams mainly stay in tournaments and games within New England which helps offset the cost of travel but doesn’t affect competition. This season runs from June until July/early August.

Practices will be held Twice a week on in the winter, with some flexibility in the spring due to field space.  Some last minute changes are necessary as field space changes.   Our Winter practices are between 60-90 min and spring/summer are between 60 – 120. We also offer a free catching practice for the catchers in our program. We have one offensive and defensive based practice during the week.

As a program, we feel our practices where we teach the game at a more intricate level and ability to develop the individual skills as a player are two of the things that really separate us as a program, so if players aren’t consistently at practice it hurts not only our program but the individual.

We practice more than any program in the area as we can’t stress enough how important practice is. IF practice isn’t a priority for a player, then playing time won’t be either.

Participation with Town Leagues/School Teams

We understand our player’s desire to participate on their town league team.  Our expectation is that any player on a U12 or below team, we are willing to work with them.  We expect our players to attend the majority of our practices but can understand a missed practice or two, in order for our players to continue their love of the sport outside of our program. Especially in regard to pitching, each coach must be made aware of pitch counts with other teams. This needs to be communicated for the safety of each of our players.

In season, we do expect our program to be each players’ #1 priority. We understand players need to have a certain amount of games for their town to play districts under 12, however, missing every practice for town games has begun to hurt the on-field product.

  • We will do our best to make practice times in spring and summer as consistent as possible.
  • We must know at the beginning of the week when practices will be missed.
  • The only priority above us should be districts for the lower levels, and School Baseball for the older teams. That being said, our HS schedule should not interfere.

Team Setup& Rosters

U10 - U12 teams – We carry a max of 2 teams per age group. Depending on Rosters we may implement a hybrid 11/12 year old team. We carry a maximum of 13 players. We may also carry alternate (practice) players additionally.

U13 & U14 teams - We carry a max of 2 teams per age group. Depending on Rosters we may implement a hybrid 13/14 year old team. We carry a maximum of 14 players. We may also carry alternate (practice) players additionally.

U15 & older teams – We will have a max of 1 team per age group. Normally we will have a 15u team and carry an Underclass and Upperclass team. Our goal is to combine the rosters from the 14u team to put out the best high school teams possible.

As a program we are very thoughtful about how we place players based on where they are at developmentally in the present, and where we think sets him up the best for success down the road.

Tuition Fee

Our tuition may change year to year based on tournament schedule and travel. Tuition includes the cost of: Umpire fees, travel fees, coach salaries, insurance, tournament fees, baseballs and other misc expenses. We cannot ensure a roster spot without the initial deposit in the fall.  Tuition will need to be fully paid by published date. We offer payment plans for families. All players/parents will register on the League Apps link to make payments and stay up-to-date with our schedule and other important news.

Uniforms / Equipment

We have a deal with Wilson and they are all ordered via online store. Players are expected to wear some sort of team apparel to practice. Players will have their jerseys tucked in, hats on straight, and a belt in their pants at all times. These are ordered separately from Tuition Costs due to the setup of our ordering system.

Families will have access to the team store with discounts for any equipment needs.

Coaches

One reason that we feel sets NEB-NH apart from other programs is our coaching. We do not employ parent coaches unless their coaching and/or playing pedigree is outstanding. Our coaches will all receive a handbook on our coaching philosophy to ensure that at each level coaches are on the same page. Each coach at the older level will have developmental notes on our players as well. All of our coaches will have a fundamental understanding of the game and do their best to put each player in a position to have success. Our coaching staff may change year to year, as we will choose coaches each year to best fit each team in our organization for that season.

Additional Training Programs

Powerhouse Sports is the dedicated facility for indoor training for all NEB-NH players.  This facility also hosts numerous training programs – whether that be hitting, pitching, or strength training.  These skills classes are not included in the NEB-NH tuition. Any player in need of more attention from our coaches, beyond the scope of the weekly team practice, is encouraged to sign up for these programs, as an additional cost.  We will do our best to give all NEB-NH players priority spots as each session is limited.

We prioritize our athletes developing physically via Sports Performance Training in Powerhouse. This happens throughout consistent, disciplined work.  We are now offering an NEB-NH only discount of 20% strength discount for the Sports Performance program at Powerhouse.
